October's last stand

Gooooooood evening, good evening, good evening,

That last games night for October 2013 went off like milk on a hot day with plenty of games occupying tables.
Straight Geedub games this week with only 40k and WHFB being played.

So lets get to it. We'll kick off with a slew of sci-fi pew pews, the first in line being a small skirmish training match:

Second in line is a Necron vs Ork smashup:

Now we'll take a trip back in time to visit how the Fantasy folk are keeping, starting off with an Orc & Skaven match:

Then we have Lizardmen vs daemons of the Nurgle variety (with a sprinkling of Khorne):

The above daemon army belongs to infrequent club visitor Jake who made his own daemons for the most part. I think you'll agree that they looks suitable Nurglish.

... aaaaand we're done. Now seeing as I won't be attending the club this coming Friday due to celebrations of the Halloween and birthday types, I'll instead post the long awaited Dark Gathering tournament write up.

Wise fwom your gwave...

I have returned!! :-D Released from my tour of house sitting in an internet deprived region of the country, I can now unload a torrent of images from the last couple of EWA meets, tonights meet (probably posted tomorrow morning), and a tournament report that Shamps and myself attended a little while ago.

The post today will be featuring images from the last couple of EWA meets, which were a little quiet. I'll post the tournament report in a separate page to keep things nice and organised. Lets gets this thing started!


First up is a couple of pictures from an Orc & Gobbo army that I had sitting in a box. I brought it along to sell in part to another club member and as I was super early, myself and another member Tom thought "Bugger it, we're bored.. lets see exactly what was in the box" (I hadn't counted what was in there for years) ...

September 27..err.. something something heaven?

Ok, first off, the post title ... I haven't had breakfast so I'm not the most imaginative so shut up :p

Now that I've gotten my title defence out of the way, how about some piccies? Yes? Righto then...


How about for a change we'll start off with some WHFB in which I was able to play 2 x 1500 pt games to test my Dark Gathering tournament list (which will be taking place this Sunday 6th.. stay tuned for a report):

The first game was vs a dirty Warriors of Chaos list..

My 2nd game was vs the Vampire Counts...

Advance Warning!! My next blog post will probably be delayed due to myself house sitting for a friend next week for a couple of weeks, so until I get my PC connected to the internets I obviously can't upload a post :s
I promise that it'll be a double post though as I'll send through a report on the Dark Gathering tournament Shamps and I will be attending this Sunday.
